Voices from the House ---Diana M Buettner

Okay so here are some morning thoughts. For those who think this election is a wrap on either side of the aisle, legally probably. However, in case no one has noticed the blatant disregard and lack of consequences from our elected criminals here's your sign. I get my news from a variety of sources. This is not about me saying your choices are incorrect. It's a warning of what, in my view, is a real live threat to our ever having a democracy.

While the courts are not siding with the current administration Trump has now removed 4 high-level officials in the Pentagon. What is in my view most likely should rock you to your core unless you are all in on fascism. I believe election officials still counting may be threatened and forced to change results. If that doesn't happen it makes another scenario more likely to be the go-to.

If you wish to know more about this scenario go to the following podcast and listen carefully. Please also take note that there is an eerie silence from the members of Congress on both sides.

I stated a long time ago that the establishment or corporate Dems likely wanted Trump to win because he is a fabulous scapegoat. Just so we are clear the podcast does not go as far as I do in their belief about this happening. I pray that I am wrong about this. However, I have been warning for over a decade that this was coming.

It is, in my belief, that it's my civic duty to tell my friends what might happen. We need to be prepared. If that is even possible.

Face to Face With Facebook Hate!

Hate Speech Runs Roughshod All Over Facebook.

I’m amazed by the number of hate groups there are on Facebook that disguises themselves as religious organizations, ministers, and self-proclaimed prophets. They’re little more than deceivers and thieves, preaching hatred and division for profit. And then there are those groups claiming to be “patriots,” out to save their country, but in fact, they’re little more than supremacists and purveyors of bigotry and racism, sowing the seeds of domestic terrorism.

On the plus side, this allows us to analyze the mindset being propagated by these deceivers. Facebook is one of the most effective tools for espionage ever devised. It will enable them, and all the other agencies out there, to track and monitor the mental state of certain groups and individuals, and to see who’s connected to whom. We too can learn much from observing their stance and hateful rhetoric.

I’ve visited a fair number of these sites over the years to get a sense of the minds behind these spinners of fear and hate propaganda and to delve into the minds and read the many comments of those who subscribe to these lunatics. Occasionally I’ll post a comment and enter into a discussion with someone. That can be very insightful into the way that some of these people think, or instead, don’t think, but rely on right-wing propagandists to tell them what to believe. Some responses I receive are incredibly harmful, and some extremely positive. No middle ground, but still, in the process, many have requested permission to repost my comments and articles on their timelines. I gladly agree.

I will admit that I have several pieces I’ve written that I frequently post on these sites and elsewhere, but only when I feel they’re on topic and to the point, regarding the article at hand. More often than not, I’ll be deleted and blocked by so-called patriots and religious groups, but in doing so; I know someone has read my post. I’ve entered into their mind, and I trust the words I’ve posted will haunt them. Yes, I have intentions but no expectations. I find it more than exciting that I can be both cursed and praised for the same words.

I realize that in most cases I’m merely “casting pearls before swine,” but there’s always a chance I may reach some of those who are seemingly unreachable. That the words may in some way act as a catalyst, and perhaps some of these people will reach deep within themselves and touch their souls, that the words I’ve posted might assist them in their awakening. I hope that they might rid themselves of the destructive mindset of these cults that have control over them. I wish them freedom.

The Christian Dilemma

The greatest threat to America, and indeed to the rest of the world, at this point in history, comes from the staunch advocates of right-wing ideology, and I must submit this warning to you: There is a grave problem with the far-right movement, in that; they seem to possess a distorted sense of entitlement. They’ve set themselves apart, and seem to think that their faith gives them the right to view the world from a platitude of conceit, through condescending eyes, and with a false sense of superiority. They believe themselves to be superior beings, with manifest destiny and some strange notion that God is on their side. A people with a desire to conquer, under the false guise of Christianity, seeking to dominate in the name of Christ, their view of humanity being reduced to nothing more than a matter of “us” and “them.”

What they fail to realize is; if the Christ you believe in leads you to view other humans as lesser beings, then you are a follower of the anti-Christ. The ugly truth is; God doesn’t have a religion, and God doesn’t discriminate. Any religion that professes to be the only true religion, or that they‘re unique in the eyes of God preaches false doctrine. If the Spirit of God is right with you, it will only be known by acts of “unconditional” love and charity. No religion can claim exclusive rights to God. He belongs to all that He has created, and to foster a belief in “us,” and “them” is to divide humanity, not unite it.

And so it will be, in The End, that those who have set themselves apart from their fellow man will find that they have set themselves apart from God. The worth of a soul will only be measured by how much it has loved, nothing more, nothing less. Woe to those who have taken the widow’s mite and built castles and empires in His name. They have incurred high accountability; their suffering will be eternal.

Even Jesus will not claim to be Christian, but will only proclaim the glory of the Father. And when He returns, they will shout: "Here we are Lord!" And He will respond: "I never knew you." They have forsaken the Word and have become prisoners of the Numbers.
Those who have put themselves first will be last.

From The Desk of Johnny Hill-House of Public Discourse[Forum]

The House of Public Discourse is fully engaged in the fight for truth in America. Conservative politicians and allied interest groups relentlessly bombard the American public with lies and misinformation. Conservative interests control at least one primary cable news channel, as well as numerous radio stations, newspapers, and websites. Also, thousands of internet "robots" and bogus accounts are used to spread false information on facebook, twitter, and other social media. And much of the Republican success in recent U.S. elections have been due to harmful television "attack ads" filled with fabrications and distortions.

Right-wing voters are mainly motivated by hate, especially by their hatred for the truth.

Unfortunately, the mainstream American media, evidently afraid of alienating part of their viewership, makes no effort to correct even the most blatant Republican lies. Thus it is left to progressives to take up the fight for truth and justice.

My life has been a story of unfulfilled promise poor choices in my youth, and not taking what the good Lord gave me to use for the betterment of my society and community. The House of Public Discourse is my way of changing all that. It really is for me one of the most important things I have ever done for myself first, and then others.

I want the House of Public Discourse to be that place that is a champion for truth and justice. I want the House of Public Discourse to be a place where people seeking to find the truth have a home.

This organization could be more substantial if I hadn't got sick and had some other setbacks, but I just wanted to let your our members know how much I love you all. I know the House of Public Discourse can make a difference, and I genuinely feel that the truth no matter how obstructed from view it may be-- always come to light.

TrumpCare's Message to the Poor and Elderly, Just Die Already!

TrumpCare's Message to the Poor and Elderly, Just Die Already!

America is playing Russian roulette with its most vulnerable citizens and the just out Congressional Budget Office [CBO] report clearly indicates that Trumpcare's message to the poor and elderly is to just die already. [See Report]

Back in 2008, when the Affordable Care Act [ACA] commonly referred as Obamacare was being sold to the American people one of the main sales pitches of the Obama Administration was if you like your current plan and doctor you could keep them. Millions of uninsured Americans were told that the insurance under the ACA would be affordable.

When the reality hit and some people could not keep their same plans or doctors and when the bloodsucking insurance company’s rates grew higher and higher all you heard from the Republicans was that Obama was a liar who sold the American people a huge bottle of snake oil.

No matter how you slice the pie the Obama team dropped the ball when setting up and
negotiating the ACA. The healthcare industry accounts for 20% and rising of our nation's overall economy. Yes, the website fiasco was more a "Ha Ha" moment than a substantive failure of the ACA, however; it was an indication of incompetence not making sure the servers were prepared and ready to go. It was like fumbling the ball on the opening kickoff.

Now, with the Trump Administration and Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) attempting to repeal
the ACA and replace it with the Republican plan we see now from the recently released CBO report that Trump's boastful claims of a better more improved plan than the ACA is just not true. Trump made claims that his plan would cover everyone. He made that claim all throughout his campaign. The CBO report says otherwise to the tune of some 26 million uninsured people by 2026 and only God himself knows how much more after. How does that in anyway make Trumpcare better? Trump also claimed that premiums were going to go down. Not true! Rates are going to go up in the short-term and for some younger people, for example, the rates will lower over a period of time but for other's like the poor and elderly the rates are going to skyrocket.

One of the biggest claims that Trump made regarding Trumpcare is that he would no ways no how touch Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. As of the rendition of this article, they have not touched Social Security. The same cannot be said about Medicaid. If the American Healthcare Act is put into play some 14 million Americans will lose their healthcare in the first year. Per the CBO report, that number will swell to 26 million by 2026.

American Healthcare Act Will Create a Modest Reduction of The Deficit at The Expense of the Elderly and Poor.

From the Report:

Although average premiums would increase prior to 2020 and decrease starting in 2020, CBO and JCT estimate that changes in premiums relative to those under current law would differ significantly for people of different ages because of a change in age-rating rules. Under the legislation, insurers would be allowed to generally charge five times more for older enrollees than younger ones rather than three times more as under current law, substantially reducing premiums for young adults and substantially raising premiums for older people.
The top 1% are basically getting a hidden tax cut. The real kick in the butt is how the American Healthcare Act affects Medicaid. Most of the 14 million people who will lose health coverage will come from both regular Medicaid and the expanded Medicaid. This will affect our poorest Americans many who are elderly and only common sense tells you this will cost lives. That's right, Trumpcare's modest deficit reduction will cost American lives and that is a tragic reality to the so-called American Healthcare Act.

What this barbaric healthcare does is take us back to a time where almost 20% of Americans will not have medical insurance. Most of these people will be poor and elderly with no means for preventive care, no means to purchase medications, they must use the Emergency Room as their primary care provider and will be saddled with huge medical bills that they will be unable to pay. Like before, the taxpayer must pick up the tab and like before your health insurance rates will soar because of this history repeating itself. The Republicans will say " Blame it on the poor folk." They're lazy!

Also, these tax credits that are being offered are a joke and meaningless to the poor and out of work Americans not due to being lazy but to our jobs being exported overseas and other jobs being replaced by other new mechanized technologies like Robots. Others will forgo health insurance from their employers because the cost will be high and their wages low.

The proposed American Healthcare Act is just another shining example of the attack on the poor, working poor, and lower middle-class Americans. Once again, we see the Oligarchs and their political establishments taking from the poor and giving to the rich. Trumpcare if passed will take 880 million dollars from Medicaid and moreover, in the long term will cut trillions of dollars in healthcare services for low-income Americans.

The indications here are clear the rich elites (not all rich people) find us poor folks a nuisance and by cutting healthcare services to finance a tax cut and slight deficit reduction Trumcare's message to the poor and elderly is, "Just Die Already."

Voices From The House

Linda Lou Bennington Nolan
"Sadly, after watching another GOP Debate, I am convinced that Republicans have no intention of providing any sensible debate because they're unwilling to address the issues facing this country. It was simply just another night of wasting time and money. Not one question was answered with a viable solution supported by fact. Most of the questions were side stepped with comments that had absolutely nothing to do with the questions asked of them or they used up their allotted time to bash Hillary Clinton or President Obama which got them off the hook from showing America they've got nothing to offer! Not a damn thing! All I could do was to shake my head in disbelief and laugh at the insane responses. I sure hope Americans are not as stupid as these people think you are and that you don't continue to vote AGAINST all of your own best interests!!! WAKE UP!!!
Every single one of these Republicans CLOWNS are still trying to paint a "doom-and-gloom" picture of the state of our nation... What a sad attempt at trying to "justify" why they should weasel their way back into the White House and undo all the actual progress we've made in the past seven years... Without so much as an IOTA of help from them!!! They provided nothing but UNPRECEDENTED OBSTRUCTION!!!"

JJ McCabe
As an American, and someone who is fully aware that our political system is watched around the world, I was embarrassed after watching the first Republican debate. Trump turned the debate into a circus, and he's the GOP frontrunner. What scared me is that Trump is not so much a product of the GOP as he is a reflection of the current Republican Party. He's misogynistic, racist, and cares more about his own wealth than the well-being of his fellow Americans. That's why we need ‪#‎bernie2016‬ U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders

Shellie Bowlin On President Obama

Shellie Bowlin
I'm proud to say that I worked hard to get him elected in the '08 election (that was quite an experience and election night was exhilarating)! I'm proud to say I voted for him both in '08 and '12!
Once the ignorant fear-based lies and distortions have faded and future generations learn of President Obama in their American History and Social Studies classes, they'll learn two aspects of this period in time:
1. This President accomplished amazing things and led our country through a turbulent time with great poise, intelligence and calm reasoning. He didn't always make the right decisions but he admitted his mistakes and his legacy is one to be proud of.

2. The racism and divisiveness that was simmering just under the surface, that too many thought was gone, bubbled up and spewed its toxicity like a dormant volcano spewing molten lava and destroying all things in its path the moment President Obama was elected. It's been disgusting to witness. But just as volcanoes destroy as they create, so does the racist toxicity- as it boiled to the surface, it showed its ugly face and now we can see it, recognize it, and build a better world out of its ashes.

Now, let's not allow the idiocy of the GOP clown car to destroy all the progress made. I don't care if it's Hillary or Bernie. Vote Blue in 2016 - or we might not have future generations learning American History at all.

Voices From The House--One Love!

Voices From The House.

JOBS!!! Where are the JOBS??!!! They're not in Kentucky coal country where #1 unemployed #1 disability rolls are. Still waiting on that coal job to open up are you?
West Virginia has a history of enduring boom and bust cycles. All states do to one degree or another. But the ones who carried on in the state as opposed to those who chased around greener grasses in another state are the ones who cultivated new industries. The rust belt areas of rural NY, PA, & Ohio have the same problems that West Virginia does. This should be an invitation to collaborate and experiment with what works and learn from what does not. Don't alienate yourselves from solutions.

Time for White People to Wake up...

Voices From The House.

How wrong is this country on the issue of police brutality in the face of racism?

I'm guessing that the majority of American's understand the concept of equality. Equal treatment under the law. When a population is oppressed by government the people throughout History have always upon awakening fought back. I believe we might be witnessing an uprising. The question however, is whether or not we will join together to fight the good fight...regardless of race, sexual preference, or any other difference. The time is now to understand that we are One People, on One Planet with One LOVE![ House Mentor: Diana M Buettner]
